This material is specially formulated to provide resistance against oils and chemicals and is undeterred by toxic substances like hydrocarbon solvents. It is a robust material that can be used in a broad range of applications, across multiple industries.
Each neoprene variant has individual characteristics that allow it to perform differently under the pressure of adverse environments. In addition to our pre-formulated neoprene specifications, Alanto is proud to offer custom compounding for specific applications. It’s thermal properties and tolerance to both hot and cold environments make it a particularly attractive material for outdoor use.
The high tensile strength and low compression set of neoprene sheets make it a durable material that is appropriate for applications in the construction, packaging and logistics industries – to name a few. In addition, neoprene has good recovery characteristics following compression, rendering it an excellent material for gaskets, tapes and rolls.
Sheet Capabilities & Applications
Whilst neoprene can be used in almost any consumer application, here at YSB, we specialise in industrial applications for a range of industries including:
The automotive industry – e.g. lights, mirrors, steering sections and door seals
The conversion industry – e.g. coils/rolls of sealing material and cut lengths/angle cut sections
The engineering industry – e.g. for insulating nuts and bolts
The construction industry – e.g. for expansion joints and acoustic seals
The electrical and lighting industry – utilised in situations requiring IP conformance
The heating and lighting industry – e.g. for use in refrigeration, cold storage and thermal insulation
